Lorenzo Snow was born 3 April 1814 in Mantua, Ohio. After being baptized a member of the Church, he served a mission in Ohio and the Eastern States. He was ordained to the office of Seventy in 1840. He served as President of the United Order in Brigham City from 1874-1886. He was ordained an apostle in 1849, after which he served missions to England and Europe. Missionary, Mormon Church; Tenney participated with the southern Utah militia against the Navajos, worked with Jacob Hamblin as missionary to the Hopi in 1858, and other mission assignments in northern New Mexico and Arizona.
